PASADENA – In an effort to combat food insecurity, the Tejano Center, in collaboration with various organizations and businesses, held a new food distribution in Pasadena, benefiting hundreds of families.

Sam Palacios, representative of the Tejano Center, commented: “We know the great need that our community faces, and we are very happy to be able to help everyone who needs it.” The program focuses on providing essential food to families who are going through difficult times, without any restrictions on the number of people who can receive help.

The next food delivery is already in the planning stages, and is expected to take place again in Pasadena, seeking to expand the reach to more families in vulnerable situations. For those who were unable to register on this occasion, on Thursday at 4 pm there will be another distribution at 2950 Broadway.

“The amount of food that is delivered depends on the size of the family,” explained Palacios, who also assured that the distribution will continue until the products are exhausted.

In addition to its food distribution programs, the Tejano Center offers educational support, housing assistance and other community programs. Aware of the problem of food insecurity, the organization also encourages enrollment in federal programs such as SNAP and education on balanced nutrition.
