Nearly 138,000 beds removed after reports of breaks or falls during use

Nearly 138,000 beds sold at major retailers including Amazon and Walmart, They are being withdrawn from the market in the United States and Canada.

This is because they can collapse, presenting risks of falls and injuries.

Utah-based importer CVB Inc. is recalling Lucid brand beds with a square tufted upholstered headboard.

According to the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada, beds may sag, break or collapse during use.

To date, there have been 245 such incidents in the United States, causing 18 injuries.

Another 11 reports of bed failures have been reported in Canada.

Owners of the platform beds being recalled are urged to stop using them immediately and contact Lucid for a free replacement frame.
