The coastal area of Brazoria, Galveston and Chambers counties has received intense rains since last Monday and it is expected that, with the presence of a tropical disturbance in the waters of the Gulf, the rains will continue to persist.

For this reason, meteorological authorities warn that because the soil is saturated, flooding is likely to occur more frequently, especially if we take into account that drainage systems are working slower due to the high waves of the waters of the Gulf of Mexico.

The National Meteorological Service does not rule out the possibility of flooding in rivers, streams and low-lying areas of the urban area.

It cannot be ruled out that the watch may be extended for a longer period of time.
