Former US President Donald Trump is promoting a new line of watches bearing his name, which sell for between $500 and $100,000.
Republican candidate is lending his image to the advertisement for the sale of these items by the company TheBestWatchesonEarth LLC, which has acquired the license to the Trump name to manufacture this collection of custom wristwatches.
The line offers two models: the Trump Victory Tourbillon, made “almost entirely” of 18-karat gold and made in Switzerland, retails for $100,000, while the Fight Fight Fight Watch, which sells for between $500 and $800, depending on the color, is gold-plated, the website says.
The website gettrumpwatches.com clarifies in a legal notice that neither Trump nor his company are linked to this project nor have they been involved in the manufacturing, distribution and sale of the watches.
The former US president himself, however, has shared the web link on his social networks and appears on the page’s cover explaining the two watch models.
“The official ‘Trump’ watch collection is here and these watches are really special. You’re going to love them. They’ll make a great Christmas gift,” the Republican candidate said in a post on social media.
The new business venture follows Trump’s recent efforts to license his personal brand as he competes with Vice President Kamala Harris for power in the White House in the Nov. 5 election.
In recent months, items have been launched, including gold sneakers worth $500, colognes for $130, and new limited edition silver coins, which can be purchased for $100 each.
