Goodbye to Fat Fabiola: Colombia mourns one of the most beloved comedians in the country

Fabiola Emilia Posada, better known as Fat Fabioladied this Thursday in Bogotá at the age of 61 due to health complications.

Her name will go down in history as one of the most beloved and famous comedians in Colombia.

Although the details of her death are unknown until now, the artist had been hospitalized in an Intensive Care Unit since last Monday, September 16.

For more than three decades she was one of the main comedians of Sbados Felices, the oldest comedy program in Colombia since.

It was not only her talent that brought her to stardom, but her overwhelming charisma that made her one of the most beloved comedians in the country.

THIS HE SAID IN ONE OF HIS LAST AUDIOS

The television program “I Know Everything” published an unprecedented audio in which Fat Fabiola spoke and revealed what legend she wanted her tombstone to have.

“I have always dreamed that my grave would have an epitaph that says: Rest in peace, my soul, you just wanted to laugh, I would like that to be my epitaph,” said the deceased comedian in the voice message.

“Fat Fabiola” or “Gordita”, as many called her, had more than 1 million followers on Instagram and was the wife of fellow comedian Nelson Polana, known as Polilla.

The comedian, originally from Santa Marta, was also a businesswoman. She had an exclusive clothing brand for plus size women, like her, called ‘By La Gorda Fabiola’.

In fact, in one of her last messages she talked about how she wanted to be remembered. “Perhaps the great legacy that I would like to leave and that all plus size women, who are overweight, understand, first, is that they are also beautiful, that there is something for everyone, that they do not have to feel any complex,” she said.
