This is the first time that X-rays have been obtained from our natural satellite, so to do so, they had to use the Einstein Probe satellite .

It was CNN who reported that the images were captured by the X-ray tracking telescope: FXT aboard the Einstein Probe, this telescope was developed by the Institute of High Energy Physics of the Chinese Academy .

Among the details revealed by the images are the distribution on the surface of our moon with elements such as:

Oxygen
Iron
Magnesium
Aluminum
Silicon
