Four teens injured in knife attack in Bronx, NYPD says

NEW YORK – Four teenagers were injured in a knife attack near a Bronx high school on Monday, police said.

The incident took place around 4:48 p.m. near the corner of East Tremont Avenue and Little League Place in the Morris Park section of the county.

A 16-year-old boy was stabbed in the back, while a 16-year-old girl was slashed in the hand, police said. Two 17-year-old boys were also injured: one was stabbed in the shoulder and the other was slashed in the hand.

It was not clear what caused the dispute.

Although the incident occurred near Herbert H. Lehman Middle School, officials confirmed it did not occur on school grounds.

No arrests have been made and the police investigation remains ongoing.
