“Our mission at IDEA is to support students’ academic success by addressing their physical and mental health needs,” said Eva Rodriguez, vice president of Student Health and Wellness at IDEA.

“We accomplish this by offering health services, nutritious meals, opportunities for physical activity, and education on how to make healthy life choices.

This recognition from the Alliance for a Healthier Generation highlights the outstanding collaborative efforts across our campuses and the impact of our healthy program.” The kids are here.”

This distinction is a significant achievement thanks to IDEA’s Healthy Kids Here program. Healthy Kids Here, celebrating its 10th year of operation, is an initiative aimed at making IDEA one of the healthiest school districts in the United States.

The three main areas of focus include diet, physical activity, and instilling healthy habits for the future.

The program provides students with healthy foods, adequate time for physical education and activity during the school day, and strong health services to keep students healthy.
